Advice for down draft

I am going to update my kitchen by expanding our island to increase seating and go from 4 burner cooktop to 5 or 6 burner. We presently have a jenn air with down draft vent built in. I was thinking of a separate unit that would extend up to provide better smoke and grease capture. I would like to avoid a proper hood in the ceiling. Does anyone have a good resource for reviews of different downdraft (and gas cooktops) ?
