In the bathtub, the cold water handle insert is worn out so the handle just turns with nothing happening.
I need to replace the small insert. Is there a difference with this insert, that one is for left handle and a different insert for the right handle? Although they look the same to me! Do you know of any difference?
Thanks

Without knowing the brand and model number, those are questions we just can't answer, though generally, hot/cold valves are identical.

When it comes to stems, it's always better to get original genuine parts, rather than universal parts sold in the big stores. If parts for your model faucet are labeled "hot" or "cold" - follow it, even if the stems look identical. In some faucets, in a small minority, the thread on the cold side may be reversed.
