Re: 2'-6" wide Toilet room

To pick a nit, the codes don't specify a mimimum of 2'6" (30") width. They typically specify that a wall adjacent to the water closet (toilet) be a minimum of 15" from the center line of the water closet.

So yeah, effectively it's 2'6" minimum overall. But that's not the way the code says it. :D

So if your space is 2'6", you're going to have to get the toilet perfectly centered in order to comply with code.

thanks for all the great replies. Being short and small, I forget how a big tall person might feel in a small space.

In that case, a 2'-6" wide bathroom won't be a problem...;)

Fact is that most people have no serious problem on an airplane bathroom. They may complain, but only because complaining is their habit.

To use a 2'-6" wide bathroom all you have to do is just back it in.

You know, there's a comment somewhere in there, but it will surely get me in trouble!:D
