We just bought an old home in the Southeast that has a hot-water boiler system, fueled by oil. It hasn't been turned on in many years since no one has lived in the house full-time since the 80's.
Is there anything I need to be aware of, or check, before flipping on the thermostat to fire up the system?
The fuel tank was checked. It contains oil and is not leaking.
Any advice is appreciated!
