16" circular saw

I hope they pay that guy the "big bucks." Talk about taking ones life in ones hands. The only other tool I'd consider as dangerous for a single person to operate was a circular dado-saw that Makita used to make. It was designed for cutting electrical raceways and channels for radiant heat pipes in timberframe log houses. Imagine controlling a saw that was taking a 3/4" x 1" chunk of wood as it cut. The guy who talked about using one said it ran on 220, and the local shop was always trying to buy it back, as he suspected that the manufacturer was attempting a retro-active recall before any users dismembered themselves.

My dad had one. A Makita when you did not see many Makita tools. He called it his Japanese watch fob.

They are fantastic. You can fab up a house full of rafters in a couple of passes with one of those jewels.
