I have a bedroom with slanted walls. It has hardwood floors, three windows, and alcove. I like an English Cottage style. I am considering crown molding. But I also like wallpaper but not on all walls. Any ideas?

Your bedroom sounds dreamy, full of potential and thinking of it is making me want to go watch The Holiday. The alcove sounds like a perfect spot for a desk or reading chair.
I think absolutely yes to the crown molding — you can mix crown molding with wallpaper so there should be no hesitation there and you don’t have to choose between the two!
Use Wallpaper as a Feature Wall
For the wallpaper, if you love it but don’t want to apply it on all walls, the one that the head of your bed is sitting on would be best. This acts as a perfect backdrop to your bed frame.
Then for the rest of the room, I would pick a color from the wallpaper and take that around the remainder of the room. You can do the walls, door, and trim all the same color, or just the walls.
