Want to give your old house a televised facelift? The This Old House TV crew is seeking engaging homeowners with old houses in need of renovation, with plenty of features to save and update. From downtown lofts, to ornate country Victorians, to bungalows in the suburbs, the series is accepting proposals for all housing types, styles and neighborhoods. Whether you are just in the dreaming phase, or well along with design, we want to hear from you!
Because the show only follows two to three projects a year, we are limited in what we can cover. At least one of these projects is in the New England area and another will be located in a different part of the country. We also look for projects located in mild climates where outdoor work may be undertaken during the winter months. Often we choose the geographic location first and then consider proposals in that area.
The renovations are completely funded by the homeowners and not This Old House, though the show coordinates product discounts and donations where possible.
For 2020, This Old House will consider proposals through December 31, 2019. The project should be ready to break ground in early Spring 2020. In order to meet the show's broadcast schedule, work must conclude by November 2020 in most cases. The selected projects will be featured on multiple This Old House episodes airing on PBS, premiering in the 2020/21 season.
**Please note that due to the volume of proposals received, This Old House will not be able to respond personally to everyone.
