In this video, learn how to make a sturdy display table, with instructions for parents and kids.
Step-by-Step
1. Mark up a sheet of plywood into the top, front, sides, and crosspiece. Cut these out with the jigsaw. (You can use this handy cutting guide to see how to fit all the pieces on one sheet.)
2. Mark and cut slots and corner cutouts to fit the pieces together. Download templates for these. Cut the corners first, then cut the slots.
3. Use a sander to smooth out the plywood before you paint it.
4. Prime the wood and let it dry. Then paint all the pieces with your favorite colors.
5. Once all the paint is dry take everything outside to assemble the lemonade stand. Slot the sides together and then fit the top on.
6. Use pipes to hold the sign. Stick Velcro tape to both the pipe and the front of the stand, then put them together.
7. Hang your sign from some string using clothes pins. Drop the ends of the string in the top of each pipe, then put caps on the pipes to hold the string in place.
