Landscaping contractor Roger Cook shows host Kevin O'Connor a few ways to deal with rainwater from gutters and downspouts. Then, up in the workshop, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey talks "All About" pliers. Then Roger, Kevin, Richard, and general contractor Tom Silva ask, "What is it?" Afterward, Tom and Kevin insulate an attic floor using fiberglass batts and blown-in insulation.
Troubleshooting gutters and downspouts.
Roger and Kevin discuss several ways to deal with rainwater being collected by gutters and conveyed via downspouts. Several options for diverting rainwater away from the house are discussed, including downspout extensions, underground drainage pipes, and drywells.

Insulating an attic with fiberglass
Kevin and Tom insulated an attic using a combination of loose-fill (blown-in) fiberglass insulation and fiberglass batts. They cut the batts to size and installed them in-between the floor joists close to the eaves, taking care not to block the flow of fresh air coming into the attic through the soffit vents. For the floor joist bays that were inaccessible due to a subfloor, they installed loose fill fiberglass insulation using a blowing machine, which allowed them to dense pack the material inside each of the joist bays.
