Then, up in the loft, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey shows host Kevin O'Connor how to cut and solder copper plumbing pipes and fittings. Then, landscaping contractor Roger Cook helps a homeowner reduce the size of an overgrown privet hedge.
Installing an aluminum storm door
Tom helped a pair of homeowners install a new aluminum storm door. The new door had a glass pane for sealing out the weather in the winter and a screen for letting fresh air inside the house in warmer seasons.
Where to find it?
Tom installed a "4000 Series Fullview" storm door manufactured by Andersen Windows and Doors. It is available from The Home Depot.
Cutting and soldering copper pipes
Up in the loft, Richard showed Kevin how to cut and assemble copper supply piping using solder, flux, and fittings.
All of the materials used to cut and solder copper pipes can be found at any hardware store or home center.
Pruning an overgrown privet hedge
Roger helped a homeowner make her front yard and garden more visible from the street by reducing the size of a privet hedge using a gas-powered hedge trimmer.
