Then Richard helps a homeowner install a new utility sink in a basement laundry area.

Installing a Utility Sink
Richard helped a homeowner install a new utility sink in the laundry area of his basement. He started by modifying some of the PVC drain piping so that the drain from the sink would be properly vented. With the sink drain connected, Richard removed the old laundry shut-off valve and replaced it. Next, he installed the new supply shut-off valves for the sink's faucet and connected them using flexible braided-steel hoses. Finally, he turned the water back on and the installation was complete.
Utility sinks and plumbing fittings can be found at plumbing supply houses, hardware stores and home centers. - Episode #807, Season 8 of ATOH
