A custom millwork shop made the house's new mouldings, including an elaborate seven piece cornice, designed to emulate the existing plaster cornices. Made of poplar, the casework around the kitchen doors consisted of three pieces: a main piece with an ogee and a rabbit step, a rectangular backband and a rabbitted piece that fit over both and tied them together.
