A Southern Kitchen
Above all, a Southern kitchen should be welcoming, a place to pull up a chair and dish out some comfort food.
The Flemings' circa 1940s galley kitchen was cramped and dated, not at all a place for family members to gather
together for a chat or a meal. The area was expanded to include an eating area lit by bay windows. A new heart pine floor, maple cabinets, stainless steel
appliances and granite countertops completed the spacious, comfortable cooking areaa kitchen for
the next century.
