Floor plan Hemmed in
The kitchens on both floors are very tight, hemmed in from the sides by the ell's nine-foot width, their depth shortened by a rear staircase and tiny baths, complete with bathtubs. The floor tiles contain asbestos, the appliances are tired and there aren't enough cabinets. The only solution is gutting and refitting from the brick walls in.
