Often called the plumber's best friend, the plunger is also a homeowner's first choice for clearing clogs from sinks, toilets, and bathtubs. Here's a way to deal with a clogged kitchen sink. Before plunging, reach inside the cabinet and tighten a C-clamp onto the dishwasher hose. This helps direct all of the plunger's power down the drainpipe and directly to the clog. Don't forget to remove the clamp when you're done.
