Zinc-topped Table

Like pre-World War II bar tops designed to take a beating, the two tabletops shown are zinc. You can replicate the look with sheet metal over plywood. Secure the metal with construction adhesive, then wrap the edges using a deadblow hammer and a flat 12-inch chisel. Tin snips and a soldering kit allow for neat corners.
