Skip harsh chemicals to flush a guest-bath drain that's likely clogged with hair, and fashion a homemade snake instead. Cut notches in an 8-inch-long zip tie using sharp scissors to create teeth. Shove one end into the drain and push it in several times to loosen the clog and remove clumps of wet hair. Connect a few zip ties together if the snake needs to be longer. A plastic zipper tool, such as Zip-it (under $3; at home centers) will also do the trick.
