Reminiscent of a Scandinavian Farmhouse: After

Who: Debra B.
Where: Scandia, MN

We (husband Steve, son Jake, and myself) were the contractors, carpenters, painters, and laborers. We did the demolition and purchased unfinished oak cabinets, which we installed and painted ourselves. New resilient plank flooring was a welcome addition after the floor demolition revealed thousands of staples to be removed (Steve's specialty). Jake's carpentry skills on the molding and ceiling installation were awesome in every way. We only hired an electrician and a plumber.

Who did the work: We did most of the work ourselves.
Cost: $10,000-$25,000
