By relocating the kitchen to a new room, we didn't have to tear out the old one to start the process. This meant we could take our time in doing the work and still have home-cooked meals. We started by figuring out a floor plan—realizing that we had to eliminate one door to get a good flow. Once we had a solid base room we could start with the build: installing our hex tiles, wiring, hanging cabinets, installing appliances, and finishing with paint and backsplash.
Who did the work:
We did all the work ourselves.
