Preserving Best Bits of Mid-Century Design: After

Who: Joellyn C.
Where: Fort Benton, MT

We changed the awkward corner-sink layout and added an island, double ovens, gas cooktop, and prep sink. We opened up the room without compromising on function and storage. My dad and husband did most of the work, including plumbing and electrical. We ordered the cabinets but did the installation ourselves. We had the granite counters installed. All other work, including the tile, was DIY.

Who did the work: We did most of the work ourselves.
Cost: $10,000-$25,000
