An Eco-Savvy Garden: After

Who: Shannon T.
Where: Long Beach, CA

I now have a defined patio area to entertain that feels cozy and welcoming. And I love that my garden feels like I have a little bit of wild space, although it's actually easier to maintain than other gardens I've planted. I live in an area where low water usage is strongly encouraged, so in addition to selecting water-wise plants, I replaced my broken concrete driveway with permeable paving, which prevents water runoff into the street.

Who did the work: I did some of the work myself but a contractor did most of it.
Cost: $10,000-$25,000
