Bright and Airy Basement Bar and Wine Cellar: After

Who: Joyce M.
Where: Hingham, MA

A custom wine cellar that holds 1,300 bottles would have cost at least $20,000. A dear friend who is an interior designer helped choose and obtain the flooring at a discount and provided other design help free of charge. Another friend whose brother has a granite business gave us the granite for the wet bar.

Who did the work: We did most of the work ourselves, but a contractor did most of it.
Cost: $50,000–$100,000
