"My father loved Christmas and loved decorating for it. One Halloween I came home at three o'clock in the afternoon to find that Dad had already put up a new Christmas tree, fully lit with ornaments, blinking merrily. The trick-or-treaters would be coming to the door soon! I couldn't move the tree without it falling apart, so what did I do? I put a black trash bag over it and told anyone who asked that it was just a Halloween tree."
