"I get images from the Internet and make my own templates, I poke in the main outline of the image and then draw the rest using an X-Acto knife. I use mainly an X-Acto knife with different blades to cave the entire pumpkin. Using regular and flat blades. The flat blade is used to put in the shading. I did this for the cover of a local free periodical and so I thought a Thriller theme would be great. I have Zombie Michael in the front, with two Zombies in the back and on the wall I have zombie shadows dancing. This took me about 7 hours total to gut and carve all three pumpkins and a mini pumpkin with the paper's logo." Jenn BushmanLocation: La Crosse, WIEnter our 2012 Pumpkin-Carving Contest today!
