Storage Transforms the Kitchen: After
Who: Dawn P.
Where: Denver, CO
Now there's tons of storage, and our existing cabinets are beautifully camouflaged—at a fraction of the cost. We made do with the existing cheap cabinets. They were solidly attached. They were in good shape. They had no style. Now you don't even notice them. It's the overall look you see. A little thing, but we have a j-box that sticks out about an inch into the space above the wine rack. Ugly. I can't move it, so I built a false back with magnets to create a hidey-hole. There's no way to predict the work-arounds that'll be required in homes this old until you're working through it.
Who did the work: I did all the work myself.
Cost: $500 to $1,000
