Playhouse Under the Stairs: After

Who: BJ H.
Where: Andover, MN

I found cedar shakes for more than half off at Home Depot. Since I did the playhouse myself, I didn't have to pay for labor. I shopped among Menards, Lowe's, and Home Depot to find the best deals, and I up-cycled where I could with what I had at home. I used formaldehyde-free plywood, low-VOC paint, and Plexiglas instead of glass. The finished playhouse is so cute and my daughter loves it! I set out to have a space that she would love and that would fit inside the home and I achieved it. What more can you ask for?

Who did the work: I did all the work myself.
Cost: $500 to $1,000
