New Windows to Enjoy the Texas Sun: After

Who: Kennie S.
Where: Blanco, TX

I love my windows and my archways. The windows allow us to eat dinner as we watch the Texas whitetail deer grazing among the live oak trees in the late evenings. Texas summers are hot, but the windows, along with the ceiling fans, make it comfortable and relaxing. In the 1950s, a fireplace had been added in the original den. The chimney is such a focal point in the new room. We used a high-pressure washer to clean the chimney. This old chimney has stood the test of time and is a tribute to our uncle Willard Gibbons, who was a master rock mason.

Who did the work: I did some of the work myself, but a contractor did most of it.
Cost: $10,000 to $25,000
