Creating a Formal Dining Room: After

Who: William W.
Where: Wantagh, NY

I created a formal room via the decorative half walls and columns, along with the custom wainscoting. The finished room is an open dining space. I like the quality of the woodwork's fit; the pocket screws created such a tight joint. The most difficult part was understanding how to attach the half walls, how to construct the wainscoting using pocket screws, and how to end a wall where it didn't continue along a perpendicular adjoining wall.

Who did the work: I did all of the work myself.
Cost: $500 to $1,000
