Designed With Aging in Mind: After

Who: Richard B.
Where: Richmond, VA

The best part is the design and open feeling. The ceiling is now uniformly 10 feet, and the counter is long enough for three people to prepare and clean up. Good flow from counter to sink to pull out the trash. There is good workspace on both sides of the stove. There is also a built-in hutch and 6 feet of cabinets under the counters that provide lots of storage. This was done with an eye to aging in place. If we need to, now that there's a full bath on the first floor, we can close the pocket doors and convert our living room into a bedroom to live in the first floor.
