The best part of the remodel is having no more wall between the kitchen and living room; the new layout is roomy and functional. We love the striped edge of birch plywood cabinets and shelving, the concrete countertops, and the level, flat, beautiful and warm floor. We also enjoy the decorative tile made by a local artist. The woodwork is cherry and maple. The open-concept living and sleek finishes are new school, while the woodwork, handmade tiles, open shelving and lighting add charm and an old-school feel.
