A Timeless and Efficient Design: After

Who: Ryan and Mindy T.
Where: Great Falls, MT

We enjoy the mix of modern and vintage-inspired materials; it feels comfortable and homey to us. We tried to use a balance of metal finishes and a modern take on subway tile for a timeless look. We did most of the work on our own. We chose a unique bronze laminate countertop instead of a much more expensive solid surface. We painted unfinished furniture feet and a newel bronze to give an inexpensive, freestanding-furniture feel to the peninsula. We used cost-effective yet quality finishes.

Who did the work: I did most of the work myself
Cost: $10,000 to $25,000
