Red-twig Dogwood

(Cornus sericea, syn. C. stolonifera, Swida sericea)

Native to most of the U.S., this deciduous shrub has bright reddish-brown stems in winter. It was planted where it will grow to add privacy to the front window.

Zone: 1 or 2; Hardy everywhere

Height: 6 to 15 feet.
