I painted the kitchen cupboards white, using a gravity-fed sprayer for the doors and drawer fronts plus a foam roller for the front faces and ends of the cupboards. I also replaced the old pulls with pretty brushed-nickel knobs and spray-painted the ceiling fan. I still need to install a backsplash, but I love the new, lighter version of my kitchen. I also created a painted checkerboard floor.
