The now-single Christine finished many projects on her own, such as tiling the kitchen backsplash and mortaring a fireplace, and got help from family and friends with others, such as building soffits and putting in lighting. She now suffers from full-blown remodeler's disease. "I'm thinking of restoring a Victorian next time," she quips.
