In 2005 we purchased a house that had no electricity or plumbing. It had been cut into four apartments. The neighbors showed us a picture of the house that was taken around 1915, and to our surprise it was a Queen Anne built in 1902. In 1929 the house was changed to a framed vernacular style, the roofline was changed, and the front porch lost its turret. We decided to restore the house so it would look more like it did when it was originally built.
