We bought our circa 1903 house as newlyweds in 1999. Only a few changes had been made to the house during its life, so many of the original details were still in place: moldings, paneled doors, old windows, wood ceilings, and double pocket doors. With just three previous owners, the house still needed to be updated to fit a more modern lifestyle—the electrical system hadn't even been updated.
