Rebuilding a Historic Home: After

Who: Natasha W.
Where: Pensacola, Fla.

As we started on the inside of the house, we first concentrated on restoring or replacing period details, like adding new spindles to the stair rail and replicating the old wood casings around doorways and openings. The windows and doors were replaced, and the exterior of the house was complete updated with a new, fresh color. We are still working on the house to this day, but the major projects are finished.

Who did the work: I did some of the work myself, but a contractor did most of it.
Cost: More than $100,000
