We were able to take advantage of the topography, and the patio sits up high, providing a nice view. Three beautiful red oaks provide cooling shade throughout the summer. In the middle of the patio we incorporated a natural rock formation that is covered with ferns and provides a contrast to the linear lines of the stone patio. By extending the stone from the patio as a base to the deck we were able to tie the deck and patio together visually.
