We found a local distributor for the same real stone product Roger used on the show and purchased 1,200 pounds of it, including corners. I stripped off the paneling and the redwood under it to get down to the concrete block. Since the thickness of the wood was thicker than the stone, I had to use leftover pieces of the entry tile to fill in the floor. We found a complementary bullnose to finish the edges around the wood bin and fireplace opening.
Who did the work: I did all the work myself. Cost: About $1,000 to $5,000
