How It's Made

Using tufting guns, workers shoot loops of wool yarn into burlap, filling in an image with 12 colors. Latex holds the yarn in place and is covered with a sturdy cotton backing. The rug is hand-bound on all four sides; because there is no warp, there is no fringe.
