Ridgid R4120

Highlight: Zero-clearance throat plate provides maximum stock support.

My two cents: "The easiest saw to swivel, but the blade has to spin for the arbor-mounted laser to be visible; inconvenient and potentially unsafe."

Tool stats: 46 pounds, 4,000 rpm, single bevel, 40-tooth carbide blade, 3-year warranty, 62 dB. Miter/bevel range: 50 degrees left and right/48 degrees left. Maximum cross-cut capacity: 8 inches. Maximum stock thickness: 6 inches.

Price: about $300; RIDGID
