We removed layers of linoleum that revealed the original wood floor, which had been damaged by a leaking laundry sink. We finished the floors with ebony stain to compliment the cabinets and bronze hardware. I modified the pre-made cabinets to fit the room and painted one cabinet door with chalkboard paint for fun. We also built in a set of drawers with a granite top. We installed bead board and crown molding to complete the redo.
Who did the work: I did all the work myself Cost: $1,000 to $5,000
