You showed us your amazing kitchen transformations. Now see which ones were finalists in our Reader Remodel Contest, as picked by you and the editors of This Old House
We bought our 1928 Tudor revival house knowing we would have to update the kitchen. The kitchen was small, boxy, and lacked heat. We wanted the renovated kitchen to feel as if it was original to the house, so we made sure exterior materials, such as local stone and stucco, matched what was already there. We also added new energy efficient windows with leaded glass inserts made by a local artisan to match the original windows.
