When we bought our 1862 house, the vast majority of the rooms were in shambles. The previous owner had reinforced the springy floor but this upstairs bedroom was gutted. The final incarnation of this room was to be a guest bedroom. However, once I became pregnant with our 3rd child (a girl!) we rearranged things to make this the new nursery.
