Our real inspiration for the focal point of the room and excellent storage came when we discovered some old windows at a salvage center. We stripped layers of paint from 3 window pairs, which then formed glass doors for a magnificent built-in storage hutch and medicine cabinet. The hutch provides wonderful storage for everything from paper goods to quilts to small appliances. The wall to the right of the hutch offers a beautiful spot for our daughter's self-portrait. Staining and installing the fluted moldings and rosettes allows for a seamless transition between the "original" portions of the home and this newly remodeled half bath.
