Cotswald Cottage Redo: After
Who: Leandra B
Where: Fuquay-Varina, N.C.
We re-hung the door to swing into the hallway, making room for the new vanity. We installed radiant heat under the 2-inch hexagonal tiles on the floor. For the walls, we chose the traditional look of subway tiles. The cast iron claw foot tub was very heavy and required several men to position it. We painted the walls a deep blue that is consistent with the arts and crafts color palette used throughout the house. Our new bathroom now gets natural light through the window, is more spacious and cozy, and complements our old house.
Who did the work: I did some of the work myself
Cost: $10,000 to $25,000
