We added gas, and moved the location of the fridge. We also added a granite farm sink, painted everything French Provincial blue and yellow, and added mini-chandeliers over the island. The change is amazing and people can't believe it's the same room, yet we didn't have to gut it. This low-budget, high-style wannabe remodel cost us under $10k.
