Our 105-year-old home was a hotel at one time, with the Harlem Globetrotters as one of its famous guests, but it needed a complete restoration. We began with the kitchen, determined to make it as historically correct as possible, while using modern appliances and amenities. We did the demolition ourselves, as well as the installation of the Jatoba cherrywood flooring, the plaster repair, and painting. We contracted with a custom cabinet company to build our cabinetry and bring our dream to fruition. They included pantry pull-outs and a recycling center. Matching fronts were made for the refrigerator and dishwasher.
