Revering The Past: After

Who: Arlene S
Where: Davenport, WA

I sold my pickup to purchase the dual-fuel stove with a warming drawer, and it was worth it! We chose pendant lighting, as I was adamantly against recessed lighting in a vintage-looking kitchen. The open shelving provided space to display old family treasures next to the antique wall phone once used in my parents' farmhouse. The window seat gave us extra storage, while the fluted farmhouse sink matched nicely with the molding used around the windows, one of which was discovered during the demolition and became a pass-through to the sunporch eating area.

Who did the work: I did some of the work myself
Cost: $50,000 to $100,000
