Halloween affords the chance to poke a little fun at yourself—or aspire to be someone else. This Old House reader Jen Stratton wrote to tell us about a conversation she and her husband had had with their three-year-old son Nolan, a die-hard TOH fan, about what he wanted to be for Halloween. "Do you want to be a police officer like grandpa or a firefighter?" her husband asked.
"No, I be Kevin O'Connor," Nolan declared in his toddler syntax. "I be a carpenter and wear a blue shirt like on the show."
Kevin, we're sure, would be flattered. But even if you don't want to be a TOH crew member, there are plenty of costumes that'll satisfy your home-improvement jones this Halloween.
